series

two straight weeks that i've missed watching c.s.i. and grey's anatomy. i suck.

good thing that holy week is coming. more than enough time to catch up on episodes that i've missed. five day ps2, movie and series marathons here i come!

yep, no penetensya for me. i know. i suck.

i must

you know what i want more than anything else in the world right now? a good solid eight hours of sleep. i really really really want that. if only sleep can be bought.

i think it's safe to say that it's quite obvious, dark circles underneath my eyes and all, that i'm deprived of sleep. just yesterday my team leader had to poke me to wake me up from my overtime-during-lunch-power-nap. see, the lengths i had to go through just to steal a few minutes of sleep when i could have been doing something else, i.e. eating.

it all boils down due to lack of time. it's just that there's so much to do and so little time to do it.

or is just because i suck at budgeting my time? maybe i should prioritize sleeping over work or doing my daily chores or watching tv or playing those damn blasted addictive video games or eating.

i really don't understand this statement:

"i trust you. i just don't trust you when you're with them."

shouldn't trust be absolute?

it's like saying,

"i have nothing against you. as a whole you're a good person. it's just that i don't agree with your decisions."

meh.

elbi!

ang haba dapat ng ipo-post ko tungkol sa pag-cut ko ng trabaho nung wednesday para pumunta sa elbi. pero tinatamad na ako e. hehe. :P basta sobrang sulit ng pagpunta ko dun. kahit na ilang oras lang ang nilagi ko dun. iba kasi talga sa elbi e. nakakatanggal ng stress. nakakatanggal ng pagod. sa elbi parang ang simple talga ng buhay. haay...

pinuntahan ko si nikki sa bahay nila. nabasa ko kasi sa blog nya na nahagip sya (ng motor). buti na lang oks lang sya. walang nabale. pero bugbug yung katawan nya. at mukhang next week pa sya gagaling.

tagal din naming nagusap. siguro may tatlong oras. lahat ata ng mga interes namin napagusapan namin. kakatuwa lang na parang kahapon lang kami nagkita at tinutuloy lang namin yung pinaguusapan namin kahit na sa totoo lang di kami madalas magkita. hmmm... actually ganito yung pakiramdam ko sa lahat ng mga kaibigan ko. ikaw, ganun din ba?

kasama ko nga pala si luz sa elbi. pero half-day lang sya. kailangan nya kasing bumalik sa manila para magtrabaho. bah! pero oks na rin. saya ng usapan namin. dami kong na-realize sa usapan namin. at dun ko lang naalala na paborito ko nga palang kulay nung high school ay green. green? yech!

at gusto ko lang i-document yung bet namin. para di ko makalimutan. (pero mukha naman na di ko makakalimutan. just in case lang.) di ko na idedetalye yung bet mismo. sabihin ko na lang yung premyo. one way trip sa kahit anong parte ng pilipinas. sweet! sweet para sa akin kasi mukhang mamaanalo ako sa bet namin. hehe. so camiguin here i come!

crap!

i feel bad.

i lost my money clip and i feel really really bad. don't ask me how much was clipped in it. i don't care about the money.

you see it was a gift. corny as it may sound, it was worth much much more because of it has sentimental value. and don't go saying casually that it's just a money clip and i should just go buy another one. bah!

but there's still a faint glimmer of hope that i'll be able to find it. i just have to be patient and wait till tomorrow, hope that someone picked it up, didn't pocketed it for himself and return it to someone i know, and me asking that someone if by any chance he'd come across a money clip. long shot? perhaps. but i think it's worth a try.

we'll just see how this pans out.

for now, i'll be miserable for the rest of the day...

thank god it's friday... really...

last friday me, tseri and birthday boy mark met up to have dinner and acompany tseri in buying a laptop bag. of course we, or at least me, forgot that it was payday friday coinciding with a three day weekend mall wide sale. it was christmas rush season all over again. this also meant that all food establishments were brimming with people. good thing (for me) that i wasn't that hungry yet. (considering that i haven't eaten yet during that day. it was a friday. sacrifice!)

we ended up eating at chicken inasal(?). we had bangus belly steak, sinigang na bangus sa bataw, and boneless danggit. it was mmm-mmm-mmm delicious. you should try and eat there.

after dinner we went to sm to look for tseri's laptop bag. while i was buying rice for my dog, tseri and mark already saw a neat and cheap to boot laptop bag. it was made by ilustrazio (first time that i heard of this brand). and oh, it had a lifetime warranty which covers everything! woot! second option laptop bag made by samsonite was very elegant while still being functional. but it only had a two year warranty covering only the stitches of the bag and three times more(!) expensive. but it was way way way more pogi than the previous bag. so tseri had this dillema of choosing between a more practical bag well within her budget or a bag which is a tad bit more off her budget but which is far more better than the other. a dillema which was solved after a quick black gulaman break. guess which bag she bought. of course it was the samsonite bag. personally i'd make the same decision. the bag was more expensive but longevity-wise it would probably last longer. and a samsonite bag never goes out of style.

(i pointed this out to tseri and mark while tseri was contemplating on what bag to buy: that i found it funny that the salesman for ilustrazio had to volunteer the specs of the bag while the salesman for the samsonite bag only had to show us the bag. the bag talked for it self. just goes to show what an established brand name can do.)

oi tse! kamusta ang bagong bag? pahiram nga. hehe.

everybody is raving about 300. 300 this, 300 that. so just to be different let me tell you about the things that i didn't like about 300.

the trailer - don't get me wrong the trailer was well made but it's just that why did they have to put most, if not all, the freakin' good lines in the movie in the trailer? it kinda lessened the oomph factor of the lines when it was delivered in the movie. but not so much that it ruined the whole feel of the scene.

(and oh, i was relieved that leonidas has lines that he didn't screamed out.)

people in the movie house - oi, when i want a play by play commentary on the movie i am currently watching i'll go ask quinito henson to do so. nothing ruins the moment more when you go saying,

"lalaban pa yan. tignan mo. ... ... ay, hindi na. madami kasing kalaban e."

shut your trap man and watch the movie.

the news - apparently people in iran(?) are offended by the movie. a movie which is based on a graphic novel. a work of fiction. don't read too much into it. political and social undertones blah blah blah. just watch the movie and take it for what it is, just pure not-so-clean testosterone blood thirst induced carnage! yeh!

well that's about it. everything else about the movie is f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c.

ang drama naman ni travis at ni jasmin. high school palang ganun na sila. ba't nung high school di naman ako ganun a. wala nga akong kilalang ganun ka-drama ang lab layp nung high school e. ganun ka ba nung high school? di ko nga alam kung ba't ko pa pinapanood yun. panget na nga nilang umarte sobrang predictable pa yung story. bleh! hmmm... pero ang pogi ni brandon dun! (yung malditong kapatid ni travis.) (pang pogi lang talga yung pangalan na brandon. brandon ng incubus. brandon ng the killers. brandon ng smm.) may man-crush nga ako dun e. pero sana di na lang sya nagpagupit kasi masbagay sa kanya ang long hair. danggit! parang nagiging ganito na ako a. magpopost na din ba ako ng picture ko? hehe. tama na nga 'to.

damn that work has been so hectic that last week i had to work until ten, twice(!) and i had to bring work home during the weekend. and peak season has just begun...

damn-er that idiot me accidentally deleted all the pictures, about seventy pictures or so, that i've taken from friday and saturday. crap! friday lunch and dinner pictures with friends, gone. crap! saturday movie gimik pictures, gone. (sorry guys... :'( ) crap! crap! and pictures of my mom and sister, gone. crap! crap! crap!

i'm very happy that for the past three days (and probably two more) i've eaten three meals a day with actual people. woohoo! congratulate me. :P

i'm addicted to frou frou. i was as an instant fan by the end of the first time i saw and heard their video for breathe in. that was way back 2002(?). five years and relentless scouring of music stores for their one and only album later, it is only now that i am able to listen to details. i'm totally lost, but in a good way, in between the dreamy layered voice of imogen and the peculiar but soothing and ingenious arrangements of guy. and now i'm wishing that i should've had their album since it was released then. (it never occurred to me that i could've bought their album online. but that's expensive!) and i do believe that if i ever got a copy of their album then, i'd still be listening to it until now. (well not continuously... :P) too bad that they didn't get the attention that they should've gotten then. so after only one album released, guy and imogen decided to call it quits and disbanded the duo to pursue their craft as solo artists.

so if you like electronica with a dash of soul and playful lyrics you should give frou frou a listen. satisfaction guaranteed!

wednesday last week me and my ate ross had dinner at the kitchen. (pictures here.) it was only then that i realized that i missed talking with someone. you see after that happened and my mom moved to pampanga permanently, my word usage dropped to less than a hundred words per day. (and please don't ask me how many words i actually say on the weekends. :S)

the anti-social me rarely talk with my officemates. and on the rare occassion that i do it will be regarding work and it'll probably go something like this,

me: miss xxxx... bakit po ganito ang yadayada? di ba po dapat dayadaya?
miss xxxx: ahh, kasi ganito yan. (insert longish explanation here.)
me: ahh, okay.

that little dialogue has a range of 15 to 20 words. and here's a list of words and phrases that i may use during the day.

1. peewee - my dog's name; minimum: 1; maximum: 3
2. bayad po - when paying my fare; minimum: 0; maximum: 3
3. hello. good morning/afternoon - when answering the phone; minimum: 0; maximum: 3
4. thanks/salamat - after paying for something or after getting my change; minimum: 1 ; maximum: 3;
5. okay - affirmative response during any conversation; minimum: 2; maximum: 6
6. sige po - alternate affirmative response; minimum: 1; maximum 5
7. hinde po - negative response during any conversation; minimum: 0; maximum 3
6. isang belgian - when waffle buying; minimum: 3 times a week; maximum: 5 times a week
7. isang iced tea - when iced tea buying; minimum: once a week; maximum of 5 times a week

so on my talkative days my word usage would be close to a hundred. ehe.

it's not that i'm complaining that i don't get to talk as often as i used to. if i can get away with it, i'd probably do away with talking. more than talking what i really miss is the interaction that is tied with conversations, the exchange of ideas and the general feeling of connection. (don't bother convincing me to talk with my officemates.)

so when you see me, the anti-social caveman with semi-pressed clothes lurching around, go try and strike a conversation with me. at first the caveman in me might take a pouncing stance while raising his imaginary club ready to strike, but don't be surprised just keep on talking. soothe the beast with your words and be prepared for a lengthy conversation. just also be ready for a hefty dose of savory halitosis breath.

(oi! that last part was just a joke. thanks to ate for that last piece of idea. and ate don't go riding any boats/ships/airplanes without checking first if it'll pass the bermuda triangle ha. ;))
