diet

i've been steadily growing my record collection by buying two cds per pay day. i've been doing this for five months now, i think. so that's twenty new records and a growth of roughly 40% to my music trove. (bonus points: give me the starting count of my cds. math geek much? ehe.) what i've been mostly buying are OPM albums, old and new alike. but alas i'm putting this on hold because of this...


so from now on until the concert, i will be on a strict music, food, shirt, shopping(?), splurge diet. good luck to me.

dr. horrible 2

being fond of musicals and this gay dude, it was no surprise that dr. horrible's sing-along blog was a hit to me when i first saw it. the whole production was quirky, geeky, nerdy and funny. the songs where catchy and some of them were lss inducing (my freeze ray and my eyes). the ending was a bit sad for my taste though.

i came upon some old news that firefly and dollhouse creator joss whedon is doing a sequel! hoorah! bad news is that it might not start filming til 2011. it's still a long ways but already i'm very much looking for to it. until then "with my freeze ray I will stop the world!"

rock the riles

as may we all know the pacquaio-cotto fight was held sometime last november. as such this coming sunday will be the first (usually) first sunday of december that doesn't have a scheduled pacquaio fight. so i'm in a pickle if i should go out on sunday and watch rocked's rock the riles. you see after pacquiao pummels his opponents to plow through victory which often finishes by noon, my friends and i talk about the fight over lunch. after lunch we go our separate ways to our homes. i take the mrt from cubao, (we've been watching pacquaio fights in gateway cinemas for the past 2 or 3(?) years), to ayala were i take the bus or ride a van to laguna. and for two (or is it three?) straight years i've been lucky to catch rock the riles at the ayala mrt station.

rock the riles is a gathering of local bands, musicians and artists spread out in eight mrt stations simultaneously performing to celebrate human rights. this year, as with previous years, boasts a hefty and loaded line up.

the ayala station and the shaw station looks solid to me. i'll definitely be there, that is if i can haul my lazy ass off my bed on sunday. show starts at 2pm. see you there kids!

i'm prone to blurt out random questions when i'm sleep deprived. like a while ago when jem, tseri and i were in the middle of talking about their helplessness during bus rides over some DQ, i suddenly ask jem an out-of-the-blue question,

so jem's apprehension to answer the question wasn't really a surprise because it came out of nowhere. (and it wasn't a surprise because jem is always aprehensive and somewhat dodgy with this type of questions.) so i go and ask tseri instead. (kasi mas madaling kausap si tseri. hehe.) after tseri's answer i go and ask her the follow up question,

so next time when i start asking weird question don't be startled it's just my brain trying to compensate from the insomia attack the previous night. gomen.
