done i'm done on to the next one

remember this? well, 'tis the season to do it again.

fourteen thousand plus lines to go. sigh...

~~~
i've finished a total of five games in a span of one and a half months. but i feel that my passion for gaming has dwindled a li'l bit. a sure sign of this is my lack of enthusiasm to unlock all the unlockables in the game. malamang kasi ang dami dami dami dami dami ko pang nakapilang mga laro. hehehe.Ü
tekken tag
status: finished, unlocked all characters and endings. (except for wang. my TTT hangs whenever his ending sequence plays.) played tekken bowl once just to show my cousin. no time attack and survival records yet. most used character: law.
wwe: raw vs. smackdown
status: still playing but finished season mode with rey mysterio. no unlocks yet. still in my second season with rey mysterio, maxing out his stats. will move to another char soon, probably john cena.
need for speed underground 2
status: finished, with all unlockables unlocked.(me thinks) i don't know but i was quite bored midway finishing the game. finished the game for the sake of just finishing.
metal gear solid 3
status: finished once, in the third(?) area in my second run. will try to get unlockables this time. (but will need to faq in order to do so. bleh!)
lord of the rings: the third age
status: finished the game. also finished it's evil mode. had fun playing but the ending was a let down.
red dead revolver
status: currently playing. now in chapter sixteen. third person shooting mayhem with a cowboy twist. yihaaa!
ideal mind block
i've been a fan of ideal minds shows for quite a while. shows like on-air, the misadventures of maverick and ariel, ang boyfriend ko, single, and wazzup wazzup eto ka!. but the number of shows dwindled down to two when on-air's time slot was changed which eventually led to its cancellation, ang boyfriend ko ended with two seasons and single stopped with season four. so i was quite surprised and excited when i saw ibc 13's wednesday primetime line up which were all ideal minds show.
~~~

on-air tambayan

a reincarnated on-air? definetly not. except for half of the name, on-air tambayan is a totally different show. no more on-air booth were you could do and say anything you want and text messages from viewers praising jm's hosting prowess and making a mockery of his big nostrils. (but we'll see in future episodes if this segments will be included in the show.)

on-air tambayan is like a gag show now, minus the gags. like normal gag shows, o-at is partitioned into several sketches.

cooking monster - this portion features jm *trying* to talk to a maangas and enraged man in a monkey costume who was talking gibberish while "cooking." and because cooking monster was talking incoherently, which was more like grumbling like cookie monster on drugs, subtitles were included to understand the cook-meister. last night chef man-key teached the proper way to cook maling.

laugh-o-meter rating: 1/5

boy gising - boy gising is a gray sock puppet with red dreadlocked hair, rounded jumpy eyes, red felt paper tounge and one hell of an annoying voice. here supposed callers can ask boy any question. i can't recall now the questions and boy's answers to them, probably because they were not worth remembering.

laugh-o-meter rating: 1/5

corny kami - here a corny joke is delivered by jm and two guys in between the beat box efforts of jm's sidekicks and jm chanting "corny kami." and yes they were indeed corny. i was mildly amused by their attempt at being funny and their admission that they were corny. but the punchlines to their jokes were predictable which is baaaaad. (or maybe it was easy for me to forsee the climax of the jokes because i am corny too.Ü)

laugh-o-meter rating: 2/5

grabe sa grabe(?) - i'm not sure of the title of this segment, it escapes me now. this portion featured two extreme guys being jackasses. (i recognize one of the guys as the loco who went to the on-air booth to break paso shards on his head) hmmm... yet another toned down imitation of mister knoxville's hit show. last night they offered their faces to be slapped for a buck. mister paso was getting hit the hardest betweem the two. hehe. had a few good laughs with this one.

laugh-o-meter rating: 3/5

yeah boy - probably the best bit of the show (for me.Ü). here a gwapings reporter searches the streets for a yeah boy! girl, a yeah boy! girl is a very very pretty girl, gives her a rose, asks her questions about her eligibilty, try to convince her to give him a kiss and finally poses for the cameras. for his first assignment mister gwapings was unleashed at the university belt.

yeah boy! girl number one was a definetly a winner. she had a face and a figure of a model and single to boot. (she recently ended her relationship with her bf.) yeah boy! girls number two, three, and four were so-so. gurl number five if i'm not mistaken is from pisay batch '99. remember the sister of angel of batch '97? sya yun! girl number six is panalo! too. although she is too young for me. she's just sixteen. jail bait! jail bait!

out of the six yeah boy! girls our gwapings reporter only scored two kisses which came from yeah boy! girl who already had a boyfriend and a nursing student.

laugh-o-meter rating: n/a (not ment to be laughed at, i think. although i snickered whenever our correspondent couldn't coax a kiss from the chosen yeah boy! girl.)

direk

the star of this show is former child star, ('di ko alam na child star pala 'to dati.) gabe mercado. showcased here is his supposed life after showbiz, how he dreams of a come back in the industry although he admits that he is already laos and how he would achieve this dream trough an inherited b type production company from a deceased uncle. didn't watched it fully though because i had to use the facilities, if you know what i mean.

~~~
juniorreyesreports
only had a few glimpse of the scenes from this show because mother was watching lovers in paris. this is a mockumentary. last nights topic was about legalizing prostition. there were several bogus interviews with "prostitutes", "political analysts" and "reliable sources." not to be taken seriously. but it seems to be a fun watch only if i could watch it entirely.
~~~

besfriends

this show stars william of single season 3 and his sometimes-cute-sometimes-not-so-cute bestfriend errr... i forgot her name. this show feels like a scripted reality tv show. hmmm... that sounds bad but it building up to be quite nice. last night bestpren set up a blind date for william which he was late for. william didn't know that he was coming to a blind date. so was the other girl, i think. it was all downhill after bestbud, william's security blanket, left the two alone. to cut the story short the date went terribly.

next scene: bestpren is asking william how'd the date go. william answers, "i don't know. i don't know what i did that made the date so... akward." to that bestpren had no retort. but vows that she ain't giving up on william no matter what.

hmmm... i can smell some sexual tension in the air.

~~~
clebrity single
dale villar, once a matinee idol(?), is the lead in the newest season of single. dale will try to find love in three months. i think there are five categories how he can choose a date which is, (1)through the internet, (2)a blind date, (3)someone of his own choice, (4)from his friends screening test and (5)ummm... i forgot the last one. i've been a fan of the single series and i'm actually curious how would a "celebrity" fair in this. but i already forsee something that might turn off dale's potential dates. he talks too much. by how much? let's just say that i think he is more talkative than the average woman.
next weeks episode will feature dale going out for the first time finding a date with the cameras dogging him. in the teaser dale sees aliya parcs and a friend seated at the temple bar and proceeds to talk her. hmmm... maka-iskor kaya ang mokong?
no punchline
yesterday while i was in an elavator going down i was wondering what would happen if the cables that were holding the elevator sudddenly snapped and severed apart from the elevator. we'd probably plummet to the ground immediately but the emergency breaks would save us a grizzly death. but what if, what if the emergency breaks malfunctioned? ha! i was thinking if a timed jump could save me. (but i read somewhere that the best way to survive an elevator crash is to lay flat on the elevator's floor. don't ask me why.)
---
this particular idea of a small skit has been buried in my mind for sometime now. (about two years... i think) well the sketch is composed of four people in a telephone conversation, person A is talking with person B and person 1 is talking with person 2. their dialogues would be the same throughout the skit. i don't know how to sequence the scenes but there should be an indrotuctory scene of person A and B's conversation and person 1 and 2's conversion. the following scenes thereafter involve person A's "conversation" with person 1 and 2 and person B's "conversation" with person 1 and 2. of course their exchanges should somewhat resemble an actual dialogue with the other person, must be coherent and should make sense. problem is i don't know how to go about it.
hey, feel free to use my idea. just be sure to give me *some* credit.Ü
this is how my current "working" environment looks. yes, no desktop icons.Ü
go here if you want to see additional comments made by me.Ü
wb!
been a while...
---
didn't get to blog last week because i didn't go to work due to an intestinal flu. had to stay alone at the house (the rest of the family went shopping with my balikbayan relatives sa greenhills. sucks...) and recuperate.
---
finally finished mgs3 while trying to get better.Ü (20++ hours of playing time) this game rocks! if you liked mgs1 you'd probably like this even better. the camouflage system is fun fun fun. and sneaking is more exciting because of the lack of the radar. will definetlty play this game but for now on to the next game...Ü
---
now in the final chapter of the lord of the rings: the third age game. unlike the previous lotr games realeased, lotr:tta is an rpg. but unlike most rpg's there is no world map exploration for this game. (but you could go back to previous chapters to complete unfinished quests and explore the area once again.) think of this game as a continuous dungeon. but it is still as fun as your typical rpg, albeit fun-ner.Ü if you want an rpg that's full of action less the diddling around lotr:tta is the game for you.
