disappointments of disappointments

last tuesday i took the day off to complete the requirements needed for acquiring a passport. around noon, not even halfway of finishing my tasks, i received a text message from sam y g,

for the finals, pls bring a xerox copy of ur passport & the person who is g0ing with u to singap0re..we need ur passport photocopies on friday..pls txt bak. tnx

demet! i replied asking if it was possible that i'd just give them a copy of the passport next week. no go. apparently it was a requirement of the singapore board... T-T

goodbye to the chance of getting an all expenses paid trip to singapore (for two) with four days three nights stay at a five star hotel and five hundred singapore dollars pocket money. so there, my singapore adventure ends here.

(sobrang nanghihinayang lang talga ako... di ko tuloy mabibilhan ng pasalubong na singapore key chains ang mga kaibigan ko. hehe. :P)

(there's always a next time... and by then i'll be prepared. muahahaha!! :D)

on the radio

[edit]yeboi! i had a blast going on hit. tado was there and he was hilarious. todo laugh trip. and oh, i got trough to the finals of the singapore splurge contest. finals will be friday next week at aruba bar metrowalk. anyone interested in going with me there? charing slick rick!

i'm watching less and less of tv and listening to more and more of radio. the reason being that the only chance i can watch tv is during early mornings and evenings and the shows airing in that time slot is simply unbearable and/or tiresome. mornings you have morning shows which are basically the same. evenings you have the same old uninspired teleseryes. on the other hand the radio programs on the radio are great during mornings and evenings. and it's a plus that i can listen to the radio anywhere. (that is if my phone has still juice)

here's my weekly schedule of radio listening...

mondays to thursdays

6am - 9am:

* good times with mo (89.9) - this is an awesome radio show infamous for its strip tuesdays and forbidden questions wednesdays. most of the time you hear dj mo complaining about anything and everything but he does have a point more often than not. then there's super gay guy mojo jojo who'd hit on any cute or macho sounding caller. add to this mix the gorgeous andi9 but is andi10 in my book. and before i forget there's little man guile who is a 12(?) year old boy who is very vocal and has as much as crazy thoughts as dj mo. watch out for their funny games some of which are porn star or athlete, sports car or gay bar, ang yabang mo!, who is mojo jojo, etc.

* sam vs sam (99.5) - sam y g and sam oh are a great tandem. sam y g with his manyak hirits and sam oh with her coy remarks are simply funny as hell. also there's banker issa in her non-air conditioned booth who adds more umph to the show. watch out for titillating tuesdays and a daily dose of chi chi.

9pm - 12am:

* boy's night out (89.9) - this show is a laugh trip! king dj logan, slick rick and tonytoni are the bomb. this show is the reason that i get to laugh everyday. kdl's ideas are simply hilarious and his hirits are right on time. slick rick's daily news are outrageous and surprising. guinea pig tonytoni is a good sport in their ever changing contests. watch out for surprise contest (kropek or chicharon, mane o wala, katas or gatas), pinoy slang, news that didn't quit made the headlines and radio tabloid. but most of all watch out for tito brando braganza and his sexytime voice when he drops by.

friday

6am - 9am:

*sheesha with shivaker (99.5) - guru shivaker on the captain's seat. ever wondered how a indian guy would sound in the radio? well here's your chance to know the answer to that question. countless of times this man has been reprimanded and suspended by the kpb but he always come back swinging. i think you already have an idea of the content of this show when i said that the kbp is always hot on the guru's tail. watch out for queer eye for the bumbay and when the guru tries to sing along with his guest's songs and when he gives dancing lessons.

saturday

3pm - 6pm:

* the boys are out (89.9) - a watered down version of the boys night out since they're broadcasting in the afternoon and at a different venue. still entertaining none the less.

sunday

9:30am - 12:30pm

* cherry and paul (96.3) - gah! you got me. this show is for those hopeless romantic types. cherry and paul have sensible and contrasting insights with matters of the heart. you'll be surprised that you'd be able to relate to some of the problems of the listeners that share their predicament with cherry and paul on air.

and oh, all these radio programs play beautiful music. ;)
